In January 2012, AEFFE S.p.A. announced the launch of the Belgian designers’ eponymous brand, signing a licensing agreement for the production and worldwide distribution of the Cédric Charlier collection.  The Fall/Winter 2013 collection debuted during Paris Fashion Week with rave reviews, launching exclusively at Barney’s New York and a coterie of the best specialty stores around the globe.

Cédric Charlier presented his first foray into menswear under his namesake label on January 16th 2017 during Milan Men’s Fashion Week; proposing an urban look with a sportswear approach. The new designs were featured alongside his women’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection which will continue on the new seasonal presentation schedule that the designer announced last June.

The core of the designer’s work is attitude and motion. The transition from two to three dimensions, exploring angles, curves and lines… to ultimately arrive at clothing that follow a woman’s every movement without eclipsing or restricting.

His artistic references range from Yves Saint Laurent and Cristobal Balenciaga; timeless classics in the world of fashion and the rules that he sometimes likes to break, through naïve art, raw art and even Expressionism.
